NCPC boss Bishop Adegbite meets the Nigerian Amb to Jordan, seeks support, collaboration

The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite has visited the Nigerian House in Amman, Jordan on Tuesday, 16th April, 2024 where he paid a courtesy call on the Nigerian Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Amb Kamfut Umaru.

Bishop Adegbite in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Head Media and Public Relations Celestine Toruka, intimated the envoy that he was visiting the Embassy for the first time in his capacity as the fourth substantive Executive Secretary of NCPC.

He commended  the Ambassador for the laudable role the Embassy played in the past in ensuring that the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims, who visited Jordan had a wonderful Pilgrimage experience in the holy land .

The NCPC boss hinted that the Commission has declared this year a year of Renewed Hope and Satisfaction and would ensure that everyone that works with NCPC is satisfied with our services and has confidence in what we do as a Commission.

He recalled that since the Commission introduced Christian Pilgrimage to Jordan in 2021 as a Pilgrimage destination, it has become an integral part of the Commission’s Pilgrimage route.

Bishop Adegbite emphasized that the Commission under his leadership would continue to leverage on the expertise of the Embassy staff in the smooth coordination of our pilgrimage operations in Jordan.

He affirmed that Jordan as a Pilgrimage destination covers the activities of  our Fathers in Faith ; the old testament biblical experience without which our Pilgrimage circle would not be complete.

The Executive Secretary sought for a renewed collaboration between the Commission and the Embassy, especially in view of the fact that the next pilgrimage exercise of the Commission would likely commence by the end of next month.

In his remarks, Ambassador Umaru thanked the Executive Secretary for his visit and pledged his unwavering support for the Commission.

He assured that the Embassy under his watch would continue to do everything diplomatically possible to advance the cause of Christian Pilgrimage in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Ambassador Umaru congratulated the NCPC boss for his well deserved appointment by the President of Nigeria; he wished him well in his Pilgrimage assignment.
