Niger state NSCDC boss says, protection and safety of critical national installations, their priority

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Niger State command will continue to abide with the rule of engagement in ensuring the protection and safety of the critical national installations across the state, the state commandant of the Corp Mr. Garba Aliyu Bature has said.
He stated that the command under his watch is committed to safeguard the national facilities across the state which according to him was the core mandate of the corps stressing that the NSCDC in the state will not relent in its commitment to leave up to its responsibility.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Idealposts in his office in Minna, the state commandant assured that his men and officers will continue to make the state inhabitable for vandals and their collaborators.
He explained that his command will continue to partner with other relevant security agencies in the state to rid off the state of criminal elements, warning that his men will vigorously go after the activities of criminals in the state
Bature disclosed that the command has the constitutional duty to ensure the security and safety of national facilities, saying this will be pursued within the ambit of the law that established the Corp.
The NSCDC boss assured that his men and officers will not compromise in their responsibility.
According to the commandant, his men are well trained and prepared to leave above board in making the state unbearable for vandals, adding vandals should in their own interests relocate from Niger State or they should be prepared to face the full wrath of his command.
“We are prepared to chase them out of Niger State unless they repent for good” he said.
He requested the support and cooperation of communities and well meaning individual to partner with his command to expose the activities of vandals in their midst so that they would be made to face justice, stressing that the command will only succeed in the onslaught against the vandals with the support of all critical stakeholders.
Bature, while appreciating relevant security agencies for partnering with his command in the protection of the national installations in the state, he assured that his command will continue to synergize towards achieving the set objective of safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens.
He admonished officers and men of the command to always apply civility in the discharge of their duty, warning that he will not conform with any act of unprofessional conduct from them
He asserted further that he will not hesitate to deal with any officers that is found wanting in the discharge of his duty. “Let me warn officers and men of Niger State command of NSCDC that I will not conform with any act that is capable of bringing the name of the command to disrepute. I will use the appropriate law that established the Corp to deal with such officer. I’m appealing to all of you to be mindful of your conduct at all times so that we can collectively do our job in such a civil manner. You are warned” he declared.
