Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Area Council Staff Pension Board, Dr. Nanzing Nden, has expressed concern over the plight of pensioners, saying that his major priority was to reposition and seeking faster ways of alleviating the pains of pensioners accessing their entitlement.
Nden, who stated this in his office recently while speaking with journalists,
pointed out that FCT is leading in the payment of pension as at when due in order to alleviate the suffering of the pensioners, their dependants and relatives.
He disclosed that the payment of accrued right benefits for over 133 retired and deceased persons, including death benefits amounting to N508 million has been paid.
According to him, “We were able to pay our monthly pension as at when due to avoid pensioners flooding to the office”
Nden pointed out that the board will consolidate on the achievement of last year by commencing the payment of retirees who will be retiring between January and June, 2020, in advance.
He called on those who have retired up to 2018 and 2019 to check with the board to enable us see how we can help them retrieve their benefits.
Director/Chief Executive Officer, explained further that the board is working tirelessly to provide smooth and stress free service delivery to the FCT pensioners.
He opined that the board is working on a charter, the first ever in FCTA to guide its operations, saying that will accelerate service delivery in FCTA.
