Ahead of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country, the Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Defence, Prince Mohammad AbdulKadri has again urged the people of Kwara State to cast their votes for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC for continuity of development in the state.
AbdulKadri noted in a statement issued on Thursday that Governor AbdulRazaq had “within the last three and half years raised the bar of governance in Kwara State from abysmally low level to a progressively higher pedestal.”
“Specifically, Governor AbdulRahman’s administration eschewed executive rascality and institutionalised probity and accountability in policy formulations and execution of people-oriented projects.
“Hence, in performance index evaluation, the soft -spoken gentleman governor has endeared his administration to the heart of Kwarans through his enviable sectoral score-card.
“Hate him or love him, what cannot be denied nor taken away from him by anybody irrespective of political differences and ideology is the fact that his numerous achievements are obviously dotting the landscape of the state.
“The talk-and-do action governor has demystified the long years of absence of government presence in parts of the state that have been cut-off, neglected and rejected without any developmental projects.
“If in doubt, ask the good people of Lafiagi, Tsaragi, Patigi and Moro in Kwara North to narrate how they have suffered under successive administrations for lack of government attention in the areas of construction of roads, lack of electricity, infrastructure, supply of portable water and provision of other basic amenities, including modern market facilities which have been delivered by the inclusive administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“This great, unassuming administrator, a bridge-builder and selfless leader has raised the bar of human capacity development through enhanced dignity of labour in public service. Further more the changed narrative in empowerment and appointments of youths in key position in his administration can’t be forgotten so soon, especially now that he deserves to be re- elected for continuity of his good job,” he stressed.
AbdulKadri further stated that “the technically and technologically savvy governor who has built and rebuilt many health institutions across the state and rebranded the state educational system towards meeting the 21st Century standards is willing able and ready to do more if he is re-elected in Shaa Allah.”
