2023: MACBAN says it has no hand in alleged nomination form purchased for former President Jonathan

The National Vice President of Miyeti Allah Cattle Breader Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso, has denied allegation that the association purchased nomination form for the former president Good luck Jonathan to contest for presidential election in 2023.

He reiterated that MACBAN has nothing to do with those behind the purchase of the form, saying that the association has distance it self from those behind the purchase of the nomination form.

Speaking to Journalists in his office in Minna, the Niger state capital on Thursday, Alhaji Hussaini Bosso said the association has no political inclinations and will not be allow to be drag into any political related issues.

It was widely reported in some media last week that the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breaders Association Of Nigeria, MACBAN and some Almajiri group had bought nomination form for the former president Goodluck Jonathan to contest presidential election in 2023.

In a swift reaction to the allegation the National Vice president of the association said, “we in MACBAN have nothing to do with those behind the purchase of the nomination form. Our association has nothing to do with politics, not to even engage in any political activities.

“For some group of Fulani and Almajiri to associate MACBAN with the purchase of nomination form for Goodluck Jonathan, the whole issue sound so strange to the entire member of the association” he declared.

According to the National Vice president of the association, MACBAN as a body is at the receiving end of the cattle rustlling, kidnapping and series of attacks by the armed bandits, stating that if the association has the money to purchase nomination form for Goodluck Jonathan, “we will use the money to replace our rustled animals in the hands of these cattle rustlers”

He maintained that those behind the purchase of the form were only out to smear the good reputation of the association for their selfish reason, describing them as mischievous set of people that derive pleasure in smearing people’s hard earned reputation for their wicked motives.

MACBAN however pointed out that the national leadership of MACBAN will not for any reason join issues with those mischief makers, as they prefer remain apolitical.

The association further disclosed that the association was formed to ensure the unification and promote harmony as well as peaceful co-existence among the Fulani nation and that according to him was the purpose of forming the MACBAN,
