Agadaga, picks Senatorial form, promises benefit of democracy

As political activities gain momentum ahead of next year elections, Chief Benson Agadaga, Chief of staff to Governor Douye Diri and a one time commissioner of information in Bayelsa state has indicated interest in vying for the Bayelsa East Senatorial candidacy on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Chief Agadaga made this known to journalists, after submitting his expression of interest and Senatorial nomination forms at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, adding that he will ensure that the benefits of the state as an oil producing region is attained.

Agadaga, East Senatorial Hopeful, in Bayelsa, stated that if elected in to office, he would ensure that the dividends of democracy get to the doorsteps of the people of his District.

According to Chief Agadaga, “Bayelsa East Senatorial District has been impoverished by years of poor representation; hence the need for experienced and capable hands that can give effective representation through initiating policies and laws that can be beneficial to the people of Bayelsa East and the state in general.”

Speaking further, he stated that the 13 percent derivation policy has become inadequate for the people of the state and he will champion the push to demand for an increase and for more of it to be added to the Bayelsa State.

He promised to work with the state government to attract foreign investment which will translate into job opportunities for the teaming youths of the state who have nothing to do.

Chief Agadaga, who is a renowned philanthropist, a committed party leader with competence, humility, reliability, gender friendly and trust worthy was accompanied by his wife and stakeholders of the party from his Senatorial District however called on delegates to choose wisely when the time comes.
