The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC Rev Yakubu Pam has said that God is rebuilding Nigeria and putting an end to its challenges.

Rev. Pam disclosed this during the second Prayer Congress on 9th August, 2021 at Mount Nebo at the 2020 pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Jordan.

The NCPC boss explained that all the Nigerian Pilgrims in Jordan were gathered in Mount Nebo to pray for the peace of Nigeria and to also pray for the Leadership of the Church and the nation.

He said, “We have come to bring our challenges to the King of glory and I believe that God will hear us”.

Rev. Pam affirmed that in no time, Nigeria would come out of its challenges stronger and better. According to him, “God has blessed our country with enormous natural resources which is supposed to be a blessing not a curse”.

The NCPC helmsman intimated that because Nigerian pilgrims have come to Mount Nebo to pray for the peace of Nigeria, God would restore peace back to Jordan.

Rev. Pam informed that the Commission would explore more holy site that would be beneficial to the pilgrims in order to make pilgrimage to Jordan more spiritually impactful.

He informed that the Commission has plans to organise Nigerian Youths who would leverage on the opportunity of pilgrimage to learn agriculture, ICT and tourism. “I believe that Nigeria has a lot to learn from Jordan”.

The NCPC Chief Executive thanked the Nigeria Embassy in Jordan for all their support and cooperation to ensure a successful 2020 pilgrimage exercise. According to him, “I thank the Ambassador for attending this prayer congress, you are never tired of us God bless you.

Speaking during the prayer congress, the Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency, Amb. Faruk Yabo expressed his excitement for the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Jordan.

According to him, “Jordan is a blessed country and I know that this blessing will extend to Nigeria”.

He explained that Mount Nebo is death place of Moses which calls for a spiritual reflection and the xray of the role he played in the life of the children of Israel.

Ambassador Yabo promised that the Nigeria Embassy in Jordan will continue to support NCPC and every Nigerian in Jordan.

In his message, the President of the Christian Council of Nigeria, CNN, Rev. Dr. Benebo Fubara stressed that the Christian race is a mystery and urged the pilgrims not to be judgemental because according to him “God’s ways and judgement is different from the judgement of man”.

He opined that the only way our prayers lives can be meaningful as Christians is when our faith is seasoned with mystery.
