Dangote Rice Mill in Jigawa state is 50% completed

The Dangote Rice Mill Limited in Jigawa state if completed will produce over 20,000 jobs with projected cash flows of over N384 million daily or about N138 billion worth annually.

Dangote Rice Limited which started its out-growers scheme in 2016 with thousands of hectares of land in Hadejia and Jigawa states, can process 32 metric tons of paddy rice per hour.

The Project Manager, Engr. Tijjani Momodu, while speaking with the Ex-Chairman of Jigawa State Investment Promotion Committee, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, said the mill has the capacity for milling 800 metric tonnes per day and also to produce 4-5 mega-watts of independent power.

Momodu said, this will boast farming activities and the local economy through incidental and complementary business activities and Value Chain support in Jigawa State and Nigeria. Dangote plans to mill 1 million tons of rice in Nigeria by 2023.

“We commend the efforts of Senator Hadejia, prayed to God to make this progress more meaningful to the entire states” he said.
