The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev Yakubu Pam, has said that the church was in a better position to correct the wrongs in the society.
He made this assertion on 19th June, 2021 at a fund raising service for the completion of the Sunday school building at the Church of Christ In Nations, COCIN, Gigiring, Jos.
The NCPC boss, who was the Chairman of the occasion called on the church to get things right and join forces with the government to move the nation forward.
He affirmed that the church at this trying time of the nation’s history should not just stand aloof, but should speak out constructively to make the difference.
Rev. Pam emphasized that the task of saving the country from its present security challenges and social maladies should begin from their immediate environment.
The NCPC boss urged the church to shun ethnicity, denominationalism and religious intolerance.
He further charged the church to always strive to keep the unity of the body of Christ, ensuring that the interest of the other faith is protected.
Rev. Pam reiterated that Nigerians should look up to God as He is the only one that would heal the nation.
