Kebbi state Exco holds special prayers for Police, Soldiers, killed by bandits

The Kebbi State Executive Council under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku, has held special prayers for the repose of the souls of the Police officers and Soldiers who lost their lives recently, while engaging bandits in Sakaba Local Government area of the state.

The special prayers were anchored by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Alhaji Muhammadu Magawata Aliero, with the entire Executive Council members in attendance.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Executive Council members prayed Allah to forgive and grant the slain officers mercy, and as well give the families the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.

“We pray that all the souls of the police officers and soldiers who were killed in active service, defending our communities, rest in peace.

“May the Almighty Allah also give their various families the strength to endure these heavy losses,” they prayed.

The Exco also used the opportunity to pray for all those who lost their lives as a result of bandit’s attacks, as well as the return of peace and tranquility in all places affected by the recurring security challenges in Nigeria.

The Kebbi State Executive Council meeting which was held at the Council Chambers,  Government House, Birnin Kebbi, in the month of Ramadan, was fully attended by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu ( Jarman Kabi), the SSG, Babale Umar Yauri, the Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safayanu Garba Bena, Commissioners and some Special Advisers. It will be recalled that, on Monday, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu paid a condolence visit to the Headquarters of Kebbi State Police Command, Birnin-Kebbi, where he commiserated with the Commissioner of Police on the deaths of the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Sakaba in Zuru Emirate, Superintendant of Police Abdullahi Jimoh, as well as Inspector Ibrahim Aliyu and seven other policemen, who lost their lives as a result of an attack by bandits, on Sunday in the area.
