Fight ensued among NYCN as members accuse exco of syphoning funds
A group of members of the National Youth Council, Kogi State chapter, has accused some of the council’s national excos of siphoning the N5m meant for the youths.
The group allegCity of Lokoja the Kogi State Capital was on fire as the cash gift of #5m to the national executive of National Youth Council was pocketed by few.
“The chief organiser of the event was the Youth Council President himself in person of Sokubu seraibe Sokubo who after the show pocketed about #3m out of the #4m givien to the youths, the total money was #5m.
“It is no longer news that the executive of National Youth Council of Nigeria gathered in Lokoja on Wednesday 17th of Feb. 2021 to confer on Gov. Yahaya Bello and award with specific reason but business as usual.
According to them, one Mustapha and Ebira stock and Niyi from Kogi West, an Okun guy, who sold the idea of the award to the Youth Council President recieved half a million each.
“The remaining #4m Sokubu shared #50,000 to each of the Executive members present and pocketed about #3m as the Boss,” they added.
The group also alleged that the fight broke out when other youths were cut off from the sharing, particularly the host youths from Kogi, stating that it was only Mustafa & Niyi that benefited from the deal.
