FG evacuates 420 Nigerians from Saudi Arabia

As the Federal Government continued to evacuates stranded Nigerians from oversea, another batch of 420 Nigerian returnees from Saudi Arabia, comprising 27 children and 393 adults arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday.

The returnee Nigerians were received by senior government officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 among other agencies.

The Director Consular and Legal Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Akinremi Bolaji, urged the returnees to cooperate with the government as provisions have been made for their basic needs during the mandatory 14-day isolation in line with COVID-19 protocol.

In a statement from the Ministry Foreign Affairs on Thursday, a total of 384 Nigerians had arrived at the Abuja airport penultimate Thursday.

It said the returnees included 300 males, 83 females, and one infant.
