APC upholds party supremacy, says Bagudu

The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, strongly upholds the party supremacy.

Bagudu said, “APC, unlike other non Democratic parties, everybody is equal and nobody is above the party”

He said, “That was why the National Leader of the party, President Muhammadu Buhari in company of all APC governors went to his home town, Daura, Katsina State and revalidated his membership of the party”

Bagudu made this assertions in Birnin Kebbi, on Monday at a stakeholders’ meeting for the 2021 APC membership registration and revalidation excercise attended by members of the party from across the state.

He also expressed optimism that, the APC would continue to grow from strength to strength, while it would continue to wax stronger.

Bagudu also extolled the monumental achievements of the APC, at all levels, including Kebbi State.

He cited some recent reports that indicated that, the immediate past administration of Presdident Goodluck Jonathan was said to have gotten over N50 trillion in five years and yet abandoned many projects .

Bagudu added that, in spite of getting barely N6 trillion in five years, President Muhammadu Buhari had completed many of those abandoned projects including rail and road construction.

In the same vein, he asserted that myriad of other new projects had sprang up across Nigeria, while several social intervention projects were ongoing.

Bagudu was emphatic that, new members of the party would be registered during the exercise.

The Kebbi State Governor further appealed to party faithfuls to come out enmass and revalidate their membership.

Bagudu expressed optimism that Kebbi State would take the lead in the registration excercise as bonafide APC state.

He promised that all the issues and advice raised by party members with regards to the registration excercise would be addressed by stakeholders.

Earlier, the State Caretaker party Chairman of APC, Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa commended Governor Bagudu for providing moral and material support towards attaining the objective of the registration excercise.

The Chairman of the Kebbi State registration and revalidation committee, Professor Muhammad Sani Yahaya from Taraba State informed the gathering that himself and six other members were assigned to come to the state from the national Secretariat of APC for the excercise.

He expressed immense happiness to be in the state which he described as the home of APC, as he also commended Governor Bagudu for taking the party to greater heights at state and national level.
