Nigeria will get out of the present predicament-NCPC boss
By Peter Usman/:
The Nigeria Christian pilgrim Commission, NCPC has urged Nigerians to be calmed and as well be focussed in this trying time, saying that the present predicament the country is passing through will soon be over.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Yakubu Pam, made this assertion in Abuja while speaking to Journalists in an interview during the 2020 Christmas Carol service organised for staff of the commission.
In his Christmas message to Nigerians, the NCPC helmsman stated that with the prayers of the Saints, particularly in this period of festivity, Nigeria will surely come out of the issue of insecurity among other troubles that bedeviled the country.
“My Christmas message to Nigerians is that we should bear with one another. We should also bear with the situation in our country and we should have hope that Nigeria is going to come out of it. Recently, we have bad news here and there, the issue of insecurity, but for sure, with prayers of the Saints, we will get out of it.
“You Know, recently we have bad news here and there, the issue of insecurity, but for sure, with prayers of the Saints, we will get out of it. A lot of people are praying for this country and I have the believe and hope that Nigeria will bounce back in a better light and Nigeria will make it again.
“My pride is this country, I can die for this country, stand for this country and I can talk about the unity of this country anywhere in the world”
Speaking on plans he has for NCPC in 2021, Rev. Pam said that the staff of the commission will be more united than ever before next year, adding that excellence performance that will uplift the NCPC is also expected from the staff.
“Next year is our year of excellence. Excellence in delivering, excellence in all the work that we will do in our various offices. Next year we expect that we are going to reunite ourselves as a family more than what we have seen this year.
“In 2021, we expect that NCPC is going to cross over not only to the shore of Israel as we always do, but to other countries where Christ stepped in with his foot when he was here on earth such as Room, Greece among other places in mass, not a few numbers of pilgrims”
Rev. Pam stated that the only challenge the commission had in 2020 was the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic that ravaged the the countyr, which he said was a global challenge.
“The only challenge we had is coronavirus pandeminc which ofcourse by the special grace of God, we are believing that with prayers, it will get out of the country. We also appreciate the Federal Government for taking a very good step towards overcoming the spread of the virus.
“The challenge is not only in Nigeria, iI is a global challenge and i see the hand of God on Nigeria, because ours is even lower compared to other countries of the world” he said.
