The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA Abuja Zonal Office on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, celebrated 22 members of staff who were promoted.
The celebration also doubled as the end of the year party of the Agency to celebrate health and safety of staff in the face of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) which crippled activities in the country and the world at large.
The Deputy Director/Coordinator, Abuja Zonal Office, Musa Zailani Attah, while speaking at the party, expressed gratitude to God for his promotion to the Zonal Office.
Attah urged member of the staff to put in their best by making the place a good working environment, and also called for good and closed relationship among the staff.
“I feel delighted to be posted here and pray that we will continue the good work we started. Let’s make this place lovely to continue working.
“This is just the beginning and in January we will have a new year party. I feel we need this to unwind so that everyone will feel a sense of belonging. I want us to be close together and enjoy this evening.
“I wish and pray that we enjoy ourselves, and I also wish that we will continue in the spirit of togetherness”, he said.
In a goodwill message, the Assistant Director, National Assembly, Idris Ibrahim also known as D-Marshal, said this kind of activity has not been done before, but is happening because the Coordinator wants them to do things differently.
“We are happy to be here. This thing that has started has not been done before, but the coordinator wants us to do things differently. Thank God for those promoted and I hope there will be more promotions”, he remarked.
For her part, the Chief Public Relations Officer Mrs. Chukwudi Chika, said the gathering was to thank God for the promotion.
She appreciated the NIMASA management for giving them the opportunity to write the exam and be promoted.
“We are here to thank God for the promotion and we appreciate the management for giving us the opportunity to write the exam and be promoted. she said.
