Aftermath of Hijacked ENDSARS protests: NCPC boss visits vandalised LGAs, institutions in Jos

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam has visited some of the Local Government Councils in Jos, institutions and residence of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT.Hon.Yakubu Dogara whose house was completely looted and vandalised in the name of searching for palliatives.
At Riyom Local Council Secretariat, the Executive Secretary was conducted round the complex by the Management Committee Chairman, Hon.Mefeng Gwallson.
The NCPC boss said, he was shocked by the level of destruction perpetuated by the hoodlums.
He described it as” unspeakable”. According to him, “these properties belong to our children, children.”
NCPC boss stressed that the situation was a trying time for the people of the Local Government and the entire state.
Rev. Pam called on the youths to put an end to such senseless and wanton destruction of Government properties which also belong to them.
The Peace Ambassador also described the actions of the hoodlums as a borrowed culture which is alien to the Plateau people.
He commended the traditional rulers for intervening in the matter which led to the recovery of some of the looted properties.
The NCPC helmsman equally visited the Jos South Local Government Council and the vandalised institutions such as the office of Plateau State Road Maintenance Agency, NEMA as well as Plateau Rural Water Sanitation Agency.
The Management Committee Chairman of the Jos South Local Government Council, Hon Da Chun Choji conducted the NCPC boss round the affected areas.
In his interview with news men after the assessment of the damages caused by the hoodlums by the NCPC boss, the Chairman of Riyom Management Committee expressed appreciation over what the stakeholders had done to help in recovering the looted properties.
He pleaded that the looters should endeavour to return all the official files that were carted away from the Local Government Council Secretariat.
At the residence of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives in Jos, RT. Hon. Yakubu Dogora, the NCPC boss was shocked with the level of destruction and looting carried out in the house.
Rev. Pam condemned the ugly act which he described as a very bad development and a setback for the State.
He affirmed that the devil had taken over the heart of the disgruntled protesters.
Rev. Pam reiterated that what he saw at RT. Hon. Yakubu Dogora,s residence is an act of the devil.
He urged the former Speaker to know that the people of Plateau State love him so much.
The peace builder also averred that peace is very essential and would make sure that Plateau State experience peace as it used to be as the Home of Peace and Tourism.
