President Buhari reappoints Okhiria as MD, Nigerian Railway Corporation

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of appointment of Engr. Fidet Okhiria, as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC.
This was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani on Wednesday in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director of Press in the Ministry, Mr. Eric Ejiekwe.
He said Presidend Buhari in a letter Ref: NO SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020 approved the renewal of the appointment of Okhiria as the Managing Director/CEO of NRC.
Ajani said the reappointment is in an accordance with the relevant section of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act. Cap 129, LFN, 2004.
Engr. Okhiria, who was first appointed as MD of the corporation on 24th October, 2016 will continue his tenure effective 20th October, 2020 for a second and final four (4) year tenure.
