…says it portends hope for Nigeria
Former Governor Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has endorsed a pro-democracy movement known as National Political Equity Movement, N-PEM, as he says there is hope for Nigeria..
Dr. Ezeife made this known while addressing newsmen at his resident in Abuja yesterday where he officially endorsed the movement.
The former Governor said he has always carried his crusade against bad leadership and to direct accolade to the doorsteps of deserving politicians.
In his speech, Cconvener of the movement, Ambassor Sunday Chibuzo Okereke, who gave an introduction to the movement’s mandate, stated that it comprises patriotic Nigerians throughout the world, who support political democratic governance equity, justice, fairness, merit, unity and Nigeria’s holistic development.
He stressed that the movement sorts to promote democracy consolidation issues, equitable political structure, policy making, active citizens participation and constitutionality, driven by the urgent and compelling need to restructure Nigeria’s political system, as well as to redress the big issues of divisiveness, political exclusion and institute a culture of political equity, justice, inclusiveness, devolution of power and guarantee the unity of Nigeria in a democratic governance structure.
He appreciated Ezeife appreciated and the teamlead for seeing him worthy for a visit with such an overwhelming mindset which has to do with issues of National struggle for liberation.
“It is worth identifying with you young people with this very great vision.
“With this movement, I now believe there is hope for Nigeria”, he said.
