World Hand Hygiene Day: NBC tasks Nigerians on constant hand washing

As the world marks another ‘World Hand Hygiene Day’, 2020, media regulator, National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has tasked Nigerians to adhere strictly to constant hand washing with soap or alcohol based sanitizers.
In a post on the commission’s official website on Monday, the NBC said Nigerians would be stronger if they stand together to reduce the spread of COVID19 virus.
The post read, “Wash your hands with soap under running water for 20 seconds as often as possible.
“Let us play our part by supporting the Government and adhering to the preventive measures put in place by Public Health Authorities.
The media regulator also advised Nigerians to always practice the hand washing exercise for the entire good of everyone across the country, as well as take responsibility and stay safe in order to prevent COVID19 spread.
It further thanked the entire media across the country for their selfless services in the enlightenment of the public at such a crucial moment of a pandemic that is ravaging the world.
